When this system board is installed with a AMD486 CPU, a DX-6600 clock generator adaptor board is required. A system board that has this adaptor board installed must follow the above configuration table. System boards without this adapter board are to be configured according to the user manual. To install the DX-6600 clock generator adaptor board, remove the original clock chip from location "Y1" (between the 387DX socket and the inner most VL-bus slot). Remove the jumper caps from JP7 and JP8. Use a wire cutter to cut all the pins from JP7. Orient the cut-off at the socket under the adapter with the cut-off at the socket on the system board location "Y1" in such a way that the jumper JP1 & JP2 on the adapter board are on top of the original jumper JP7 on the system board. Insert the adapter board firmly into the 8-pin system board socket and follow the jumper settings above to configure your system. If you have any problems installing the DX-6600 or configuring your system, please contact the manufacturer for assisstance. |
